Excellent idea but needs some samples. The one provided for download is too basic to be of any use. All these effects are interesting but they remind me of blinking GIFs. The demo site shows how to do the blinking in dozen different ways. Documentation is thorough but again no clue how to implement these properties and methods to build something useful.
How about the following scenario: Two thumbnails Thumb1 and Thumb2. Content area (image and some text). When page opens Content 1 displays Image1 and Text1. When Thumb2 is clicked the Content 2 displays Image2 and Text2 using one of the transitions.

Today I was just playing with RIAnimations. I took your sample in download. I created my own masterpage and a content page and added panels and buttons as found in sample. There is one thing i wanted to tell you about the buttons. For Reset button and other command buttons I have to add CausesValidation="false" in the declaration. Otherwise ASP.NET will produce onclick='javascript:WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions' code at run time and it gives trouble in Animation control. May be a thing for you to look into. Sorry, I didnt have tons of time to look into this further. Once I added CausesValidation="false" it worked fine for me. So I stopped there. Let me know what you find about this.

My code buttons looked like this.

HI im lovin the idea of this control but struggling to get things working as i need to..
My senario is this..

I have an ajax enable page within which i have an imagebutton used as a menu option. When its clicked at the moment it updates the current activeviewindex of a multiview control (it does that so i can load new content without a full page refresh).

I also want it to slide an image off the screen, change the image to a different one and slide it back on... anyone know how i might be able to do that with the RIAnimation control?

This a handy little animation tool that I will have to have some practice with. Thanks for the basics and the information. jQuery is a lot of fun to work with and it has a huge following of happy users. I'm still amazed at the ways people can come up with to use it.
